numa is sold in 21 selective shops and galleries in Europe, Middle-East, US and online. It has been selected as a pioneer fellow member of the Ethical Fashion Forum in London, celebrated by media, showcased in selective trade shows and by key trend agencies, worn by some of the most respected celebrities and proudly continuously making a difference.

 With a focus on style and quality, all numa accessories are on-trend yet timeless. Their thoughtful details make our life easier and each product has a story that make us feel unique.

Founded by Melika Dahlouk, numa is the result of 20 years of humanitarian work and travel, hands trained as a goldsmith and an eye for trends.

While finishing her post graduate studies, Melika studied jewelry making in Los Angeles. During her work and travel for the UN and NGOs in Africa and Asia, she was stricken by the mastery and potential of expert craft women and men, some of them last witnesses of their trade. 

In 2010, Melika decided to create a brand giving a new life to ancient traditions, opportunities for expert artisans, and beautiful accessories for discerning customers.

She passed the official expert craft making examination in Tunisia for her jewelry creations and started to identify some of the most gifted hands in the country to build a unique social project and modern brand empowering jewelry, leather and weaving experts.

Her passion is now shared by a team of 20 artisans in Tunisia and by numa’s production manager, Melika’s wonderful mother Fati, who patiently helps Melika bring her sketches to life with the handcrafting magic of the artisans. Each artisan is celebrated and supported in all aspect of their work, training, equipment and well being.

Several numa accessories require the work of 3 artisans with different expertise, creating unique objects of art and shared dedication.

In addition to the core team in Tunisia, numa collaborates on a regular basis with NGOs and visual artists in other countries.

numa’s magic is created with the most luxurious but eco-conscious materials, precious recycled 18ct gold, sterling silver and brass, upcycled  notorious brands of Italian leathers and impressive French fabrics.
