Santos Pouch by Catrinka

Styling Notes:

Featured in Marie Claire's November issue!

This lovely little pouch has a secret: the exterior fabric was handwoven, on a pedal loom, from shreds of Walmart plastic bags that would otherwise litter the hills of Antigua and Guatemala City. The bags are sent to Santos Quisquina, an indigenous Mayan weaver in Chuacruz Sololá,  in the highlands of Guatemala, to be transformed into a soft and nuanced textile in shades of gray and blue. The pouch is lined in recycled ikat and comes with a hot pink tassel just for fun. The perfect place to keep your essentials on your daily commute or a once in a lifetime adventure.

Size: 9" x 6"

Material: recycled plastic exterior, cotton ikat interior, metal zip and cotton tassel
