Knowing the weather forecast before going to work for the day can be quite helpful. You know what to expect before the end of the day, weather-wise. Unfortunately, we don't all have the time luxury of listening to TV or radio weather forecasters all the time.

To this end, smart live weather forecast apps were created. These applications come with different functions unique to their developer. One good example of these weather apps is MyRadar.
MyRadar Weather Radar app is one of the top 5 most popular weather apps. It is available for free on the internet. With over 50 million app users, it is not hard to see how good it is. One thing people particularly love about the application is that it is available on both Android, iOS, and Windows PC.
The app grants instant live weather information directly to any device you access it with. With real-time weather notifications, you get warnings before the weather changes for worse.
Another thing that makes it such a useful app is that MyRadar is free to download and use. It does have a paid version that offers advanced functions and features. The paid subscription also helps you get rid of pesky ads which are present on the Free version. However, for the most part, you can still enjoy the basic functionality of the app - i.e. to check live weather forecasts. The paid version costs about $25 a year. Although it is a US-based app, it is still useful in most parts of the world.
NOTE: The App is not available everywhere in the world. To know if your country is supported, Simply search up the app on your Smartphone's app store.
Backed by its patent-pending weather technology, the MyRadar Weather Radar app offers you a one-stop platform for everything Weather!
The app provides animated Weather information of your current location. It also gives you a quick overview of what type of weather you can expect in the next few hours. From providing accurate forecasts to displaying informative seismic activities around your location, the MyRadar Weather Radar app does it all. You can even see aviation-related flight plans as well as wildfire activities near you if you want. So if you are an Aviation enthusiast, MyRadar is your best bet!
As earlier stated, the app has both a free version as well as a paid version. Hence some of the features stated above or about to be discussed are only available after making in-app subscriptions.
Impressive right? The app offers a hands-off experience thanks to its partnership with Alexa. To listen to the weather forecast using Alexa, you need to use the voice command "Alexa, Load myRadar".
There is currently no other AI assistant integration except for Amazon Alexa.
The app provides a high-definition composite map of your current location. This is referred to as "Radar" on the app.
The app provides an extensive visual overview of your country's current temperature. The varying temperature across the country is then imprinted on the HD weather Radar.
MyRadar provides detailed weather alerts straight from the NOAA. Once the option is enabled, you will also receive real-time information about the amount of precipitation the next hour will bring. These alerts can help inform your choice of clothes when leaving for work. It also helps predict which mode of transit is suitable for your journey.
Not many people might find this a good feature. But it is extremely useful! Hurricanes are very dangerous. And considering they come with varying levels of dangers, it is always best to prepare for their occurrence.
The app not only alerts you when a Hurricane is picking up, but it also gives you real-time information on when to expect one. You can even track the proximity of Tropical storms if such are common in your area.
This is one of our favorite features on this App. As you would expect, it is a paid feature that is well worth the price. The app comes with three maps designated as Aerial, Road, and Gray Map respectively.
The Aerial and Roads map provides a detailed view of your surrounding terrain. It also provides you access to extensive aviation charts.
The dynamic functions of the MyRadar app cannot be overemphasized. As a result, being able to sync your account across multiple devices is greatly welcomed.
There are two ways to install MyRadar on your PC.
1. Get the MyRadar app from the Microsoft Store
2. Install MyRadar on PC using an Android Emulator
This is the easiest way to download MyRadar for your Windows 10 PC or Laptop. The app is only about 90MB in size. Below is a quick installation note on how to go about it:
NOTE: You can also simply click the "Microsoft Store" icon on your Start menu.
NOTE: You might want to check the minimum requirements to make sure you can install it on your computer.
As you might have rightly observed, the method discussed above is only viable if you have a Windows 10 PC. Older Windows PC versions and Mac PC cannot download MyRadar using this step. That is not to say you cannot download the.exe file over the internet and try to force install. However, you are more likely to experience frequent app crashes when running it.
If you fall in such a category i.e. with an older windows version, the next step is for you!
Using MyRadar on your Mac or Windows 8,7, XP, VISTA via an Android Emulator is the next best thing. For one, all the latest Android Emulators run smoothly without crashing.
Another good reason to use Emulators is that they are available in different types and sizes. There are emulators for testing Android apps on PC, emulators for playing android games on Mac or PC as well as all-around Android Emulators.
In this post, we recommend using the BlueStacks 5 Emulator.
BlueStacks 5 is currently the fastest Android Emulator on PC and Mac. It is so smooth and user-friendly that you might quickly forget you are using your PC to access Android apps.
Here is a short installation note on how to download and install BlueStacks:
- Visit the official BlueStacks website by clicking here
- You should see a "Download BlueStacks 5" Button in red and blue color. Click on it and it will automatically start downloading.
NOTE: If your PC has an old processor, you might want to click the Download BlueStacks 4 option.
- Once the file completes downloading, double click on it to begin the installation. Follow all the on-screen prompts to complete the installation. After installation, double-click on the BlueStacks icon on your PC home screen.
- Next, you will receive a prompt to configure your BlueStacks. Here, you will select your preferred language. Then you will need to add an Active Gmail Account.
NOTE: You can add your current Gmail account. If you are uncomfortable with this, you will have to create a new Gmail account using BlueStacks.
- Wait a few minutes while the BlueStacks engine completely configures your PC.
After successful installation, the next step is to download and install the MyRadar app for PC. To do this:
1. Click on the Google Play Store icon on the BlueStacks home interface.
2. Tap on the Search bar and enter "MyRadar Weather Radar". Press "Enter" to search.
3. The MyRadar app should be the first app on the results page. Click on it and tap on the "Install" button.
4. The download and installation should be complete within a few minutes.
5. Tap the "Open" button that now replaces the "Install" button.
6. Your MyRadar Weather Radar app should now run.
TIP: BlueStacks also lets you create shortcuts of all installed Android Apps on your PC home screen. This option lets you check the weather forecast on your MyRadar app on your PC with one click.
With all the usefulness of MyRadar, it does come with one big flaw. For all the information it provides, it has a complicated user interface. This is due to the various information and layers being displayed at the same time.
Although once you get used to the interface, there are only a few weather applications that beats it on Windows, MAC, Android, or iOS devices.
